Openings by Location Openings by Location Corporate Headquarters Baltimore Troy, MI Houston Long Beach Seaport Miami New York JFK Airport Pearl River, NY Corporate Headquarters - Berwyn, PA Corporate Controller: We are seeking an experienced Corporate Controller at our Berwyn, Pennsylvania location. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer. The ideal candidate is an honest, dependable, and internally-motivated person who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. In addition, he or she must be detail-oriented, goal-driven, creative and innovative with a problem-solving mindset. The Corporate Controller provides leadership and coordination of company financial planning, debt financing, and budget management functions. The Controller ensures that company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles. Primary responsibilities of the Corporate Controller include the following: 1) Internal management reporting, 2) Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments, 3) Review and analyze monthly financial reports to assure accurate financial information is reported to management, 4) Responsible for process flow and the quality of financial information provided, 5) Day-to-Day management of all functions within the accounting department, 6) Manage the preparation of the official annual report of actual revenues, transfers, and expenses, 7) Payroll processing, 8) Must be capable of performing account reconciliations, data analysis and the preparation of journal entries, 9) Ensure compliance with local, state and federal budgetary reporting requirements, 10) Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures, 11) Design, establish and maintain an organization structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the department's goals and objectives, 12) Serve on planning and policy-making committees, 13) Serve as primary legislative liaison relative to company financial issues, 14) Oversee financial management of foreign operations to include developing financial and budget policies and procedures, 15) Direct financial audits and provide recommendation for procedural improvements, 16) other duties as assigned. Additional responsibilities include: 1) Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff, and 2) Provide accounting policy orientation for new staff. To be considered, candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills and experience: 1) Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost-control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections. Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis., 2) Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings., 3) A BS Degree in Finance or Accounting and at least 4 years of accounting manager or controller experience is desired, or for consideration candidate must have at least 4 years of accounting management experience., 4) Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
