Business Development Manager Sales/Manager
Position Purpose: The Business Development Manager/Sales Manager is responsible for, sales, forecasting and ongoing customer relationships for logistics/transportation products, solutions and services. In addition, this position will be responsible for the development and management of the corporate sales personnel. On-going market research and analysis to ensure that the optimum target markets have been clearly identified. The Business Development Manager/Sales Manager will establish and execute plans and strategies to continuously expand the customer base. The Business Development Manager/Sales Manager will collaborate with the customer on a regular basis and work with internal personnel to ensure the implementation of quality solutions that enable the delivery of optimum value to our customer’s core business.
Job Functions:
· New business development/prospecting
· Sales personnel management
· Strategic account development
· Consultative/solution sales
· Key: Goal oriented salesperson with qualification/experience in mid-size to large
  account acquisition and management; building and maintaining customer relationships.
· Develop and set sales production and revenue goals
· Work professionally and effectively with key management and operations staff on
  global basis to achieve target productions and revenue goals
· Maintain professional and technical knowledge through networking with industry
  contacts and customers to stay current with important issues affecting the industry
· Identify problems and present solutions to meet and /or improve customer needs
  and expectations
· Willingly accept feedback from management and staff in order to develop and
  maintain positive working relationships
· Develop, identify and implement new sales/operations processes that would improve
  sales performance and increase revenue
· Manage resources effectively to meet and support corporate expectations
· Report to VP
Qualifications:
· Bachelors Degree or equivalent, related industry experience
· Minimum of 10 years in International Freight Forwarding or related field
· Minimum of 5 years outside, direct customer Management experience in International
  Freight Forwarding or related field
· Proven record of accomplishments
· Must work well with all levels of staff
· Must be able to analyze market trends and plan sales strategies accordingly
· Computer literate
· Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
