Global Logistics Provider DF Young Appoints Executives to Lead New Specialized Division

Berwyn, PA-based global logistics provider DF Young proudly announced the introduction of new business division, DF Young Specialty Logistics, in September 2013. DF Young is pleased to announce the appointment of three executives who will lead the Specialty Logistics Business Unit.
Chris Carpenter joins DF Young as Vice President of the Specialty Logistics Business Unit and reports to DF Young CEO Wes Wyatt. Carpenter is the former President of Priority Solutions International (PSI), and brings nearly 20 years of domestic and international transportation and pharmaceutical distribution experience. As President of PSI, Carpenter led several company acquisitions as well as the sale of the company to Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2007.
Steve Giampapa joins DF Young as Director of Domestic Operations for the Specialty Logistics Business Unit. Giampapa formerly served as Chicago Station Manager for AIT Worldwide Logistics and Vice President of Operations at Priority Solutions International.
Ashley Nielsen joins DF Young as National Accounts Executive for the Specialty Logistics Business Unit. Nielsen, a seasoned logistics sales executive, most recently served as an Account Executive for AIT Worldwide Logistics where she secured business across multiple verticals for global accounts.
The Specialty Logistics business unit will target industry verticals which require special attention and handling. DF Young’s focus within Specialty Logistics will be primarily as a freight forwarder offering premium, high-touch, time-sensitive, air freight and courier services. The Specialty Logistics division will boast the same customer-focused, customizable approach that DF Young is known for around the world.
